Ketchup on meatloaf is disgusting… Anyone who doesn’t agree can fight me. With this meatloaf recipe, you don’t need crappy condiments that cover up the flavor. This recipe is simple yet very delicious and after making it, you will never look at meatloaf the same… especially ones with ketchup.



Ingredients

  • 1 lb hamburger
  • 1 egg
  • 15 saltine crackers (crushed fine)
  • Brown gravy packet
  • 3 beef bullion cubes
  • 1 onion
  • Salt & pepper to taste

 

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Put 3 bullion cubes with 3 cups of water and bring to a boil
  3. Add beef, egg and saltine crackers to a bowl and mix together (salt & pepper s as well)
  4. Add 1/2 cup bullion to meat mixture and mix like a bastard
  5. Put in a greased pan and shape into a loaf
  6. Pour 1/2 cup bullion on top of loaf
  7. Layer sliced onion on top of loaf
  8. Cook at 350 for 1 hour. You can also broil for 5 minutes to get a crispier top
  9. When almost finished, add brown gravy pocket to leftover bullion
  10. Pull out meatloaf and add onions and meatloaf juices into gravy. Cook for a few more minutes while meatloaf is broiling.

**Serve with mashed potatoes
